Screens are often wrong because a person has to remember. These are the jobs. The last column is what you can do here, not a promise that another system is connected.

The menu shows a sold-out item or an old price
Angry customers and a wrong price on the glass
Tick Sold out or type the price on Phone, then press Save menu. A till pull matches names from the last 14 days. It is not a live stream.

Use dayparts, or a second playlist with From and Until. A clock rule can switch the playlist.

A promotion keeps running after it ends
Margin and a compliance problem
Put the offer on a schedule. When the window ends, the usual playlist returns. There is no approval queue.

The signage budget is hard to defend
Proof records plays. After a till pull it can compare order value in hours the item played. It does not show the screen caused the sales.

List a slot and set your price. You play the creative. The desk does not take the payment.

The shift never sees the notice
A missed policy or a missed handover
Write it on Operations. People press I have read this on Phone. It is not sent to Teams, WhatsApp, or SMS.

People keep working without the warning
Press Leave the building or Stay where you are. Players check about every 5 seconds. A PLC is not connected.

Edit the line-status slide. SCADA and MES are not connected.

An air-gapped edition can be switched on so the desk does not call out. That is not a HIPAA certification.

Use Leave the building, Stay where you are, or CAP on Operations. A fire panel is not connected.
Transit
The departure board is out of date
People miss the change
Edit the rows. GTFS, AVL, and flight feeds are not connected. Screens do not sync files over the local network.
Hotels
The lobby still shows yesterday’s event
Staff retype the sign each morning
Edit the event slide, or schedule breakfast and evening playlists. Opera, Mews, and booking calendars are not connected.

Tick the screens and set the playlist, group, Play now item, or wake and sleep. There is no MDM enrolment.

People walk past it
Choose a theme, check it on the television, and give a long line more seconds. There is no contrast checker or read-aloud QR.
