One alert for every screen on campus
A lockdown or a fire drill has to replace the normal loop on every screen. Campus Safety includes the leave and stay slides, plus an events line and a cafeteria menu you edit.

Use cases
The corridor screen is still showing the lunch menu
Press Leave the building or Stay where you are. The playlist returns when you press Clear alert or when the time you set runs out.
Today’s events are on a paper notice
Edit the events slide and save. A calendar from Google or Microsoft is not connected, so the line is what you type.
The cafeteria price changed
Open the cafeteria menu on Phone, change the price, and press Save menu. Dayparts work the same way as a cafe menu.

What stays manual
- Fire panels are not connected.
- Google Calendar and Microsoft calendars are not connected.
- A stored “delivery time” for the alert is not kept. Screens pick it up on the next check, about every 5 seconds.
Questions
Does a fire alarm panel change the screens?
No. Use Leave the building, Stay where you are, or the CAP address on Operations.
Can the events slide read the school calendar?
No. Type the day’s events on the slide.
