Stops, stations, and airports
A departure board you can change from the desk
A platform screen should show the next trips and a disruption when there is one. Transit Info starts with those slides. You update the rows. A timetable feed does not fill them in.
This page is the Transit Info service of Pulse 360 Signage, built in Delhi NCR by Pulse 360 Communications. On the trial form, choose Transit Info (Stops, stations, and airports) under What do the screens show?
Use cases
The printed board is already out of date
Edit the departure rows and press Save menu. The status field is the right-hand column. Example values are On time and Delayed.
A disruption needs the whole screen
Edit the disruption slide, or press Show on every screen with your own words. Clear it when the disruption ends.
The network drops and you still need a picture
Leave the player browser open. A live feed is not required for these slides, because the words are stored on the desk. This desk does not sync files from one screen to another over the local network.
Features
- A departure board and a disruption slide.
- A playlist named Transit Info.
- Status text on each row, edited like a price.
- An alert that can replace the board on every paired screen.
What stays manual
- GTFS-realtime, AVL, and flight APIs are not connected.
- Departure accuracy against a live feed is not measured.
- Screens do not pass files to each other on the local network.
Questions
Does the board follow a GTFS or flight feed?
No. Staff edit the rows. Those feeds are not connected.
What happens if the screen is offline?
The desk marks it offline when it has not checked in. Reopen the player browser on that screen. A live timetable is not waiting behind it.
